Lock your Mac. Keep the feeling.
Timed lyrics bring the words to your lock screen. Your music still has a place on your desk, even when your work is put away.
Your Mac stays locked. The song carries on.
The words. Right on time.
Follow the song in Classic, Lines or Fisheye. Bring a whole line into focus, keep the words in view, or give the lyrics a different perspective. Choose the style that feels right for your music.
Three lyric styles. Choose yours in Settings.
Let the colour leave the cover.
A soft rim of light takes its colours from the album art and travels around your display, right around the notch. Let it drift, or turn on optional beat sync and feel the rhythm.
A little colour changes the whole room.
Give the album the whole screen.
Press a hotkey and step into the cover. Albums with motion artwork come alive full screen. For the others, a slow, subtle movement gives the original artwork room to breathe.

Mini player. Room for your music.
A floating player you can resize from just the cover to a big card with lyrics and controls. Drag it into a corner and keep your music close while you work.
A little cover, or the whole song in view.
Two screens. One scene.
The artwork on your MacBook. The words, big and beautiful, on your monitor. Choose artwork, lyrics, both, or just the glow for each display.

How it works
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Good questions.
What does Velour do?
Velour brings your music onto your Mac: album-coloured light around the screen, timed lyrics in three styles, and full screen album covers at the press of a hotkey.
Which music apps does it work with?
The Spotify and Apple Music desktop apps. Start a song in either one and Velour follows what is playing.
Does every song have lyrics?
Most popular songs have lyrics, and many include word-by-word timing. When only line timing is available, Velour highlights one line at a time. Instrumentals and some new or less widely available tracks may have no lyrics.
Does Velour listen to me or record my screen?
No microphone access and no screen recording. Optional beat sync analyses the audio your Mac is already playing, live on your device. That analysis is never saved or uploaded.
What do I need?
An Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later, plus the Spotify or Apple Music desktop app.
Is it a subscription?
No subscription. Velour is $14.99 (USD), paid once, with updates included.
